You can look at any map and see that Arkansas does not have luxurious beaches and tropical weather year around. We do however have mild winters and extended spring and fall seasons. It does get humid in the summer, but normally the rain keeps it cooler during the summer than many other places in the south. Arkansas is known as the natural state. There are several large freshwater lakes for skiing, boating, and fishing. There are also several national forests, rivers, and trails, for hiking, camping, and sightseeing.
